Just a day after Square Enix has released their lineup for Gamescom 2013 they are confirming an official release date of the murder mystery game known as Murdered: Soul Suspect. The game will release in “early 2014″ for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and the PC. The game’s setting is in Salem, Massachusetts and Detective O’Connor has just been murdered and must solve his own murder without being able to communicate with anyone.
Gamescom is just around the corner and fans have been wondering what Square Enix’s lineup would be at the event. The German event is extremely popular among fans, and this year’s event will not disappoint. Square Enix will display both their current generation games and some next generation games. Some of the games that will be on display include Final Fantasy XV, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Thief, Murdered: Soul Suspect, Final Fantasy X/X2 HD, Kingdom Hearts 1.5, and Deus Ex: The Fall.
Ready for a gameplay video? Well earlier last month Square Enix showed off a brand new game that’s been getting a lot of buzz, Murdered: Soul Suspect takes the role of of Detective Ronan O’Connor who finds himself laying on the ground after just being killed. The game itself is a new direction from Square Enix, bringing a murder mystery element to this generation. According to Square Enix, Murdered: Soul Suspect ”takes players into a whole new realm of mystery where the case is personal and the clues just out of reach” as they attempt to “solve the hardest case of all… their own murder”. The action/adventure game is set for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, although no release date is confirmed we do have the first trailer and details about the game.
