Actor Thomas Kretschmann has been officially cast to play the villain in the new Hitman reboot. Kretschmann will be Le Cierq, the chairman of Syndicate International, bent on creating an army of unstoppable agents. Kretschmann appears to be loving villainous roles as he’s also been cast as Baron Wolfgang von Strucker in The Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
Hitman GO is the newly announced mobile game from from Square Enix Montreal. So, not only is there a console/PC Hitman game in the works; but with this announcement, there will be a mobile game coming out soon. Eidos Co-founder and president Ian Livingstone has retired after 20 years of service. He along with Steve Jackson was the co-founder of the popular and influential series Fighting Fantasy. During his reign at Eidos, Livingstone has helped launched popular titles such as Thief, Hitman, Deus Ex, and the ever popular Legacy Of Kain. According to Pushsquare the danish developer IO Interactive has had all of its projects cancelled and workforce has been cut in half as layoffs hit the team pretty bad, the good news is there will be a new hitman game as the franchise refocuses. The rest of the team will now refocus on the Hitman franchise with a brand new hitman game. former production manager Hannes Seifert has been named the studio head. He had some interesting things to say about the direction they are going in.
Hitman Blood Money was one of the most diverse and exciting game for the Playstation 2 era, having sold more than 2.1 million units and 500,000 of those copies coming in this era alone according to Vgchartz. The game brought stealth games to a whole new direction, making the fourth entry in the Hitman series one of the best. In Hitman Blood Money the player takes control of a bald hitman known as Agent 47, each mission is framed around the killing of your enemy or enemies, which Agent 47 must accomplish to do either silently or violently.
