With Deus Ex Human Revolution Director’s cut coming around the corner this month, the guys at Square Enix decided to show off the features in a trailer. Eidos Co-founder and president Ian Livingstone has retired after 20 years of service. He along with Steve Jackson was the co-founder of the popular and influential series Fighting Fantasy. During his reign at Eidos, Livingstone has helped launched popular titles such as Thief, Hitman, Deus Ex, and the ever popular Legacy Of Kain. Square Enix Europe has just registered and trademarked Deus Ex Universe on September 10th, 2013, which could a next generation console game. Deus Ex has been becoming more popular fan wise and with an announcement earlier this month that Deus Ex: The Fall will be coming to the IOS and Android, the future looks bright for the franchise and we here at Square Enix Origin have more on the Deus Ex Universe trademark.

We previous reported here that the new Square Enix game Deus Ex: The Fall will be released this summer. The “Deus Ex experience” will be available on both apple and android products. The release continues Square Enix’s current trend for releasing mobile games. For only $6.99/£4.99, players can enjoy the new stealth based first person shooter. As reported earlier this week, CBS has trademarked a domain name to include Deus Ex as their next featured movie, more details have emerged as we found out that the film will be based on Deus Ex Human Revolution. The name that they filed to trademark was “DeusExhumanDefianceFilm.com,” we speculated that Human Defiance would be a sequel to Human Revolution but that soon became false as we found out that CBS was involved with the domain register. Deus Ex: The Fall is set to be not only an ipad game but an iphone game as well. A few days ago we reported that Square Enix had filed to trademark Deus Ex: The Fall, not a lot of information was given but some speculation went on as far as a movie being produced by CBS. While that rumor may still be ongoing, we do have new information regarding Deus Ex: The Fall. According to Jean-François Dugas, executive game director at Eidos-Montréal, this will be the “full Deus Ex Experience”, which means “exploration, action, hacking, stealth, social enhancers, player choice, and consequence”.
