Final Fantasy VII Director Yoshinori Kitase was often quoted saying that the game would never happen, even after late last year a source close to Square Enix said that the game was in early production for the next gen systems. Recently, Kitase was quoted saying that the game is no longer an option and that if it were to happen he would want anyone but Square Enix to do it.
In an interview posted on SQEXMembersNA, the producer of Drakengard 3, Takamasa Shiba, goes into detail about the upcoming game, and also offers his insight into his life as a staff member of Square Enix. Hello, everyone! I’m Ovum, otherwise known as Usagi on our forum, the content editor. As for my favorite Square character, it has to be Riku. Admittedly, I’ve only played Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2, 358/2 Days, and about one-sixteenth of Birth By Sleep, so I didn’t get to see how his character played out in 3D and whatever other games I’ve missed out on. That and I haven’t played many other Square titles in general—I’m more of an old-school game player. Anyway, let’s get on to why the silver-haired boy is my favorite.

More information about one of the most anticipated games has come out from producer Tetsuya Nomura. The new interview came just a day after the new Kingdom Hearts 3 D23 Expo trailer was released showing off Sora rocking a ship and battling a rock monster. Community manager George Kelion and Nosgoth game designer Bill Beacham sat down and took questions from fans regarding the massive multiplayer game, Nosgoth. Shinji Hashimoto, the executive producer of the Kingdom Hearts series, was quoted saying that Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix could happen if Kingdom Hearts 1.5 turns out to be a success. Just recently we reported that Yoko Shimomura was returning to the series to compose music not only for Kingdom Hearts 3, but for Final Fantasy XV as well. Both Yoko and Shinji sat down with IGN to talk about the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
Earlier this morning Sony Computer Entertainment Japan released a new video interview with Tetsuya Nomura where he talked about how Final Fantasy XV is doing and how the Playstation 4 turned the impossible to possible.
